Ag Dept letter denying us the right to speak at a meeting where they award our rice checkoff money

Mr. Howington, thank you for your request to be on the agenda for the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board meeting on Feb. 1, 2024. The agenda has been finalized and the board will not be taking public comments at this meeting. Chairman Whitaker is planning to schedule a time for public comments at a meeting later this year, and we will keep you informed of that date and time.
In response to your question below regarding Karen Moldenhauer, she retired several years ago. You may want to contact Alton Johnson, the current director of the Rice Research and Extension Center in Stuttgart. The phone number is 870-673-0109.

Chairman Whitaker will be speaking at the Conservation Systems Conference 2024 in Jonesboro on January 30-31, 2024, and at the Arkansas Rice annual meeting on February 1, 2024 on several topics, including check-off programs and accountability.
